Hi Dave!

It was exciting to be able to welcome MyLife on board as the new title sponsor of the Dusi Canoe Marathon last week. The Truda Foods porridge brand is a great fit with this event, and are looking forward to a long and happy association with Colin van Heerden and his team.

Signing the deal with MyLife enables us to focus on a number of core values for the coming race. We are determined to make it great value for money for you, the paddler, and we can confirm that we have kept the entry fees the same as they were for the last Dusi. We have also opened entries now with a special Early Bird entry competition, valid until the end of November.

This will be the 70th Dusi, and anyone who has ever done a Dusi would love to be part of this milestone event!

The Dusi Committee has also committed to working hard at a number of other key priorities, in addition to optimising your experience as a Dusi paddler in February. These include the quality of the water in the uMsindusi and uMngeni Rivers, the riverine ecology and cleanliness of the rivers.

The lockdowns have slowed down everyone's training, so it is time to dust off that Dusi boat and your running shoes! Just over three months to go!
