After Mission Rapid and soon after the Finger Neck portage put-in comes a new rapid has been formed by rocks being moved in the river bed, creating a steepish rocky channel on the right of the river.
Once into the right hand channel, where most of the river flow is now, stay left of this channel and take it slowly, looking out for submerged rocks river centre.
The older line down the left is still avail;able, but due to the excavation of the river bed far less water goes down the left that in the past, making it tighter and more technical, especially at the bottom.
